22Cocoa Puffs - D22849

Female Dog aged Adult.

22Cocoa Puffs Female Doberman Pincher 6 yrs old 90 lbs Cats-unknown Kids-unknown Dogs-with proper introduction House trained Adoption fee is $250.00 ($5.00 service charge for debit/credit) "HEY THERE!! I just wanted to say you won't find a more devoted dog. I could be your companion if you only give me the change. I am a big girl, but I am full of love. I live with some dinky dogs, and I love them too!! Take the time to come meet me!!! I am gorgeous and sweet!!" Coco is a 90-pound female Doberman who is 6 years old. She is potty trained and goes to the door when she needs to be let out. She currently lives with dogs but she likes to be the "boss" so it may take her a day or two to warm up to other dogs. She enjoys playing with other dogs and sharing toys. We are not sure how she is with cats as we do not have any and we also are sure how she is with young children. She can walk on leash, and she is a good walker but due to a hip surgery last year, she can't go on long walks or hikes. She does great on walks for under an hour and enjoys them. Last year she had her hip joint removed but she is fully recovered but needs to be in a house with carpeting as she can slip on the hard floor. We currently have both carpet and hard floors, so we put mats on the hard floors, and she does great. Coco enjoys squeaky toys, balls and bones. If you give her toys with stuffing, she will pull the stuffing out and make a mess. She plays some with balls but only for a bit and typically only if another dog is playing with her. Coco is a sweet and caring dog. She loves to cuddle and thinks she is a lap dog. She is happy to sit by you while you work (if you have a remote job) and she is very well behaved and follows commands and directions. She is a creature of habit and likes to have a schedule for meals and sleep. She currently eats in the mornings between 8-9 and evenings around 6. If you have other dogs, you need to make sure she doesn't eat their food cause she "Loves" to eat. She also loves her sleep and when it gets dark outside, she is ready for bed. She enjoys a snuggle in bed (if you let her) and then she sleeps all night on her dog bed locked in our bathroom with a gate. We do not keep her in a crate, but she has been in one in the past and she does great in it if you don't have a place for you at night or when you are gone. Coco protects her home and will let you know when she hears sounds outside by either barking or squeaking. She is not aggressive with strangers, but she holds back on affection until she knows the person. Allow me to introduce myself. The rescue has labeled me as Frosted Flakes (but my foster momma calls me Boss Man Bruno…she says I strut and have a big man attitude). I am a very handsome 4-year young Chiweenie and I weigh a perfect 20 pounds. I am sturdy, compact and very solid. I am fabulously crate trained and will sleep the entire night without a single sound. I’m amazing in the car (in my crate!), have learned the dog door, am potty trained (keep a watchful eye at first and make sure I know where to go), working on leash training, with patience and a harness, I’ll be a perfect walking buddy. I am suuuper loving and would be happiest with a lap to call my own. Best as an only dog (I like alllll the love) or with a confident, calm resident dog that is not a lap dog. If you or anyone you know is looking to add some unconditional love to your home and save a dog’s life…have yourself some yummy Frosted Flakes. (P.S. I hear that pictures don’t do me justice, despite the thousands the puparazzi have taken. You’ve gotta see my strut in person!) 22Gravy - D22853

Male Dog aged 3 years 0 months.

22Gravy Male approx 3 yrs. old 8lbs. Kids 8+ Cats-Ok Crate trained Leash trained House trained This little dude is really cute!!! Shy at first and needs a little time to warm-up but then he is mister snuggles!! Here are some notes from his foster family. "Friendly with his people Takes longer to warm up to men but he loves my husband. He does still bark at my husband though, but also loves to snuggle him He seems a bit timid but as he gets more comfortable here it is fading. He walks on a leash Does not run off when outdoors He is barky, not terrible but not great. He is a bit reactive when in his crate and he seems mildly food aggressive. He is good taking treats with all the other dogs, but I feed him separately because I don’t feel he is comfortable yet. He gets along with the dogs but not super interactive with them. He likes his people more He gets excited to see his people He loves the bed and the couch so definitely a furniture dog." How can you resist this face!! Please submit an application if you are interested in meeting him. 22Maple - D22844

Female Dog aged Young Adult.

22Maple Spayed Female 1 Year old around 22 lbs Dogs: yes Cats: Possibly, but no experience Kids: unknown Adoption fee is $250.00 ($5.00 service charge for debit/credit) MUST GO INTO A HOME WITH A RESIDENT DOG. Maple Syrup is as sweet as her name.  She’s very shy and still a little anxious. Being around people is still new to her and she’s very slowly learning that she’s safe and it’s ok to trust us.   Her age is estimated to be around 8 months old. She is housebroken, although, she won’t ask to go outside.  I take her outside a few times a day.  She’s happy to spend her days sleeping in the office with me while I work, never makes a sound.  She seems to be more playful in the evenings, picking up a few toys to chew on.  The ball currently makes her nervous as do many things, like the sound of running water or any sudden noise. She is amazing on the leash and enjoys car rides – especially when riding shotgun. She is not crate trained and will need to be taught gradually about the crate. Her maximum crate comfort level is about 20 minutes right now. I feel Maple would do very well in a home with a small to medium resident dog who is playful – a companion to show her how fun life is.  She’ll need lots of patience, consistency and love. She has learned sit and once past the hump of her fear/flight instinct should be able to quickly learn other commands. If you are interested in any of the dogs we have available, please make sure to download an adoption application (from this site), fill it out, and email it to foothillcoordinator@gmail.com. We will be going over the applications for best fit for the dog, it is not first come first serve. If your application is chosen, we will set up a private meet and greet with you. Cats-no Housetrained-yes Car-yes Leash trained-yes Dogs-yes FOSPICE FAMILY/PERSON: Sweet Oatmeal is just a chill guy (unless you have a cat) that is needing a Fospice Family to care for him in his senior years. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, contact Foothill Dog Rescue for details on how to become a FOSPICE FOSTER FAMILY!! "HEY THEY THERE!!! Don't pass me by just cause I am a senior. I am a big love who likes to be cradled like a baby...I got dumped in a shelter just when I needed my family the most. I am sad that I wasn't wanted anymore because I was older, but I know there are people with big hearts that say, 'Give me that senior dog!!" I still have a lot of spunk and energy and would love for you to meet me!!" Oatmeal is a very handsome and sweet boxer/pit mix that is looking for a loving home in his senior years. You can't go wrong with this wonderful dog!! He’s about 10 years old and 45 pounds. He is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He loves his toys. He loves when it’s time for a walk and he gets along great with other dogs in the neighborhood and dogs he meets at the store. He is not cat friendly and needs a house that does not have any cats. His favorite thing to do is go for rides in the car. At home he’s very relaxed, loves to cuddle and once he’s comfortable enough he’ll climb right into your lap and plop himself down for a cuddle. He does like his naps, but he is also still very spry. This dog is perfect for that special adopter who loves the dogs a little grey around the temple! If you are interested in any of the dogs we have available, please submit an adoption application online at www.foothilldogrescue.org. 22Porridge - D22861

Male Dog aged Adult.

22Porridge Male 4 yrs. old Long hair Dachshund Approx. 22 lbs. Cats-no Kids-9+ Dogs-ok but prefers to be only dog House trained-signals to go out but still needs some training Adoption fee is $250.00 ($5.00 service charge for debit/credit) This is Porridge (aka Lucas). We have had him for just about a week and he has adapted well. He hangs out with 3 other dog friends but gets a little sassy/growly when the others get attention. We believe that the best home for hime would be where he is a solo dog. We hear he also does not do well with cats, but I haven’t tested him yet. He does have a prey instinct when in the backyard, searching wildly for gophers on the grass. He adores hanging out with his people and has found one he likes most (me). No fear of men like so many other fosters, but he is timid of anyone new for the first few days or when out and about. He is a fantastic sleeper and prefers our bed, often under the covers. He is pretty low key, and I haven’t heard him bark once. He is not fond of a kennel, but I insist when we are in the car. He absolutely goes crazy over squeaky toys and kills them swiftly if they are cheap. He has been learning potty training and has signaled to go out (but I keep a belly band on him inside as he is with many male dogs in our home). If you are interested in any of the dogs we have available, please make sure to download an adoption application (from this site), fill it out, and email it to foothillcoordinator@gmail.com. 22Toast - D22843

Male Dog aged Young Adult.

22Toast Male Heinz 57 :) approx. 1 yr old 30 lbs. House trained Leash trained Crate trained Dogs-Yes Cat-unknown MUST GO INTO A HOME WITH A RESIDENT DOG! Adoption fee is $250.00 ($5.00 service charge for debit/credit) Toast (aka Sam) is a sweet young boy. It’s estimated that Sam is 10-12 months old. He is a scared little guy that needs patience and love to gain additional confidence in life. Sam is house trained. He doesn’t signal to go out, I take him out every few hours. He walks well on a leash. When he sees other dogs on our walks, he’s curious and fine with them. He sleeps with his foster. He is crate trained and does very well when left alone in his crate. He can stay in the crate for up to 4 hours. He’s very good in the car. Maybe the best I’ve ever encountered. He knows sit, off and we’re working on other commands. He gets along with his fosters dog, zero problems. He’s a cuddler. He loves to sit next to you, sleeping, enjoying and getting the hugs. I don’t know how he would react to a cat, as we haven’t encountered any. So far, he eats canned dog food. He is a picky eater. I think he’ll warm up to other foods with time. So far, his energy level is low and mellow. Sam needs patience and love as he’s a very sweet boy learning to trust humans again. If you are interested in any of the dogs we have available, please make sure to download an adoption application (from this site), fill it out, and email it to foothillcoordinator@gmail.com.
